MANILA, Philippines – Although Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson have parted ways some three years ago, it seems that his mother remains a fan of their previous on-and-off-cam relationship.
Gerald's mother, Evangeline Opsima, revealed that some of Kim's gifts for Gerald when they were still together are kept in their renovated home in General Santos. Among these are a huge mirror in the living room, as well as a golf cart in the garden, which the young actress bought for his 21st birthday.
Mommy Vangie toured Kris Aquino, Melai Cantiveros, and Jason Francisco around the wide-spaced abode in the Wednesday episode of “Kris TV.” She also showed off the red handbag which Kim gave the former on her birthday.
In a separate interview, Gerald related that Mommy Vangie is “very sentimental.”
“Mahalaga sa kanya ‘yung mga bagay-bagay. Kunwari bibigyan mo siya ng isang regalo, she’ll keep it for a long time,” said he.
Mommy Vangie also treasures the Kimerald mug as well as the mattress which came from the ex-lovers’ fans, and even a framed photo of a younger Kim and Gerald together, put on display.
Asked if she misses Kim, Mommy Vangie quickly replied, “Oo naman.”
However, she related that Kim is no longer able to communicate with her.
“Well meron sigurong nagbawal na… ‘Di na siya mag-reply. Siguro lang, ‘di ko lang alam,” Mommy Vangie deemed.
Meanwhile, she also admitted to having met Maja Salvador, Kim’s estranged best friend to whom Gerald is currently linked, two months ago.
“Pero wala akong alam pa do’n,” Mommy Vangie added, apparently referring to the real score between the two.
As for Sarah Geronimo, whom Gerald courted prior, Mommy Vangie said she has met the Popstar Princess twice.
“[Nung] first movie nila and premiere,” she curtly said.
