“She was telling me about showbiz, and she knew her lines.

“So for me, she was just so present and quick, na it’s hard for me to think of her not in that position.

“I hope her family is okay, and I hope she gets well."

HER COMEBACK.

“I just have fun entertaining people," wika ng Kapuso actress.

“Like ako, aware naman ako na hindi ako good singer, e.

“Pero if I can put songs together in a way na to make it fun, to make it kind of a guessing game na what’s gonna happen next.

“You know, I perform in front of people, parang it just makes me happy to entertain, parang kung may natuwa o naka-smile, masaya ‘ko."

“Kasi, well, isa na yung emotional akong tao, pero at the same time… yun nga, feeling ko kasi, every character revolves around love.

“Parang hahanapin mo lang kung ano'ng love nila, tapos every decision that the character make is about whatever they love.

“So ‘yon lang ang ginawa ko sa charcter ko, I just figured out what she loves—the people—and she’ll do everything to protect them."

Aniya, “You know, my role is really, uhm, parang maganda ang placing sa soap. So parang it made me feel special.

“It’s a plum role! So it just seems the perfect fit to ease myself back into working."

READY FOR LEAD ROLES AGAIN?

Sandaling nag-isip si Rhian at saka sumagot ng, “I think after Indio, yeah."

“Kasi what I realized when I started working again is now… parang nag-materialize sa akin the hunger that I had to work.

“The whole time that I was scared, that I didn’t want to go back, I just wanted to stay with my family, hang out and not have responsibilities, to not to think about anything.

“But when I finally got back, and I finally did my first role, parang doon ko na-realize na, ‘Grabe, na-miss ko pala ‘to!’

“So parang for me, I don’t know what other kind of art I can do aside from acting.

“I mean, it’s not just a job for me. Kasi parang although it’s a way to hide myself, kasi I’m not playing myself, I get to play other people.

“I still find a way to put myself into it.

"So yung mga emotions na hindi puwede i-release sa totoong buhay, kaya ko i-release sa character, without feeling bad about it and without being embarrassed.

“So it’s really more than work for me, it’s my kind of art. I don’t know how to paint.

"I don’t know how to do anything else, this is how I express myself." -- Joyce Jimenez, PEP
